Kings Point Machinery (KPM) KPM was started in 1960 in San Francisco. The Company’s founder, James Arden Stasek, graduated from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy with an engineering degree. Kings Point Machinery took its name through a gentleman’s agreement between the company’s founder, James Stasek, and the head of Kings Point Academy, Admiral Thomas King. Donald Westfall started working for KPM in 1969 when he was 14. He bought the company in 1981. In 1987, Kings Point Machinery was incorporated in California. In 1990 KPM moved to its pernament location on Gould Street in Oakland, California. |
